About

A lecturer at the University of Kentucky, my specialty is the German phenomenological movement. My Ph.D. dissertation was published by Routledge under the title, Husserl's Consitutive Phenomenology. Since the publication of this work, I have set about more systematically studying the history of the German phenomenological movement. I am currently intensively studying the work of Max Scheler.

Over the years I have also had an abiding interest in environmental philosophy. Lately, I have broadened my research to include the phenomenology of life, the philosophy of the life sciences, and the ontological clarification of the ecological conception of land. I also have a strong research interest in philosophical anthropology.
